Following are assignments recently completed by Wilson-West:
TM Machine and Tool: The retiring owners of TM Machine & Tool asked Wilson-West (W-W) to sell the company, makers of automotive aftermarket products and a contract machining supplier to the aerospace and electronics industries. W-W ‘packaged’ the company, found buyer candidates and steered the process through negotiations to Letters of Intent and due diligence to final closing
The End Result Learning Centers: W-W was asked to consult on the future of the company including building scenarios for sale and franchising this multi-location tutoring firm.
SafeandSecureBaby.com: SSB is a company that sells online all the products necessary for new parents to ‘baby proof’ their homes and provide protected means of transporting their newborn. The owners of this Internet commerce company needed to exit the business quickly under the pressure of family health issues. W-W packaged and promoted the company, found and negotiated with multiple buyer candidates and brought a closing to conclusion in less than three months
WISE/Pacific Supply, Inc. : This 25 year old distributor of professional power tools was in a generational transition. The founding mother and father were retiring and the son desired to stay with the business as General Manager for the new owner. W-W packaged and promoted the company and, eventually, several competing offers were developed that included a fair price for the company and a satisfactory ‘package’ for the son’s continuing leadership of the company in behalf of the new owners. An additional nuance that was accommodated was to transfer ownership of the woman-owned business to another woman-owned business.
Newcastle Publishing: The sudden death of the owner/operator of this New Age publishing company left his widow and children scrambling to keep the enterprise alive. Although they did an amazing job of quick-study mastery of the business, law school (for the boys) and health problems (for the widow) made a sale imperative. W-W found a strategic buyer in a New York publishing company and steered the transaction to satisfactory conclusion.
NetRisen: A Woodland Hills, CA-based company that enables hotels, office buildings, dormatories to have wireless internet access in every room was sold to a company based in Pawtuckett, Rhode Island. At the time of sale, NetRisen had over 100 completed projects across the country with continuing service contracts.
